The Hanoitimes – Don’s, a Canadian – run restaurant in Ha Noi, was listed in “Asia’s 50 best restaurants” for 2013 by in Singapore.

Born in Montreal, Donald Berger is a Canadian chef and restaurateur who has worked in many 5-star hotels in the region before settling down in Ha Noi as chef patron of Don’s Tay Ho. During his work and travels in Asia as an executive chef, Donald has cooked with Canadian ingredients and participated in culinary promotions alongside several Canadian embassies, including in Viet Nam.

Don’s restaurant, o­n Xuan Dieu Street in Ha Noi’s Tay Ho District, provides customers with a wide variety of International and Vietnamese comfort and fine dining dishes, from Foie Gras to Banh Xeo (rice crepe) and Banh Cuon (rolled cake) using Canadian, Vietnamese and other high quality imported ingredients.
